PATIENT-FOCUSED CARE FOR THE CLEAR SPRING COMMUNITY

GET TO KNOW
Dr. Heidi Jang, DMD
Dr. Heidi Jang is proud to serve the community as the owner and dentist at Clear Spring Dental Clinic. Born in South Korea and raised in Vancouver, she completed both her undergraduate studies and her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of British Columbia. After graduating, she practiced in Edmonton for several years before returning home to British Columbia. With every year in practice, Dr. Jang’s appreciation for dentistry continues to grow. She values the opportunity to support patients and give back to the community through her work. Her goal is to provide a gentle and positive dental experience while delivering efficient, evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s individual needs. Dr. Jang’s interest in dentistry began during her undergraduate years when she first met Dr. Sandy Ko through volunteer work with the Holy Names Healthcare Outreach Society. Through several healthcare outreach trips, she experienced firsthand how dentistry can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. That experience continues to shape her values and her approach to patient care today. She enjoys all areas of dentistry and has a special interest in caring for pediatric and anxious patients. Dr. Jang believes it is a privilege to be part of a person’s oral health journey and to help foster a healthy and confident perception of dental care. Outside the clinic, Dr. Jang volunteers at the Vancouver Aboriginal Health Society’s Dental Clinic in the Downtown Eastside and continues to look for opportunities to participate in community outreach. She believes that even small acts of kindness and support can have a positive ripple effect within a community. In her free time, she enjoys experimenting with new recipes, gardening, and spending time with family and friends, along with her fluffy bunny companion, Ceci. Dr. Jang will be working closely with Dr. Ko throughout this transition and is grateful for the opportunity to carry forward the compassionate, patient-focused care that Clear Spring Dental Clinic has long been known for. She looks forward to meeting patients and caring for the community in the years ahead. Dr. Jang is fluent in both English and Korean.
